The School of Tourism Management in Zhengzhou University was established in 2001 on the basis of the major of tourism management. During its long development, the school has obtained a lot of awards: the “The Pilot National Base of Innovation in Training ”in 2007, the “National Featured Specialty” in 2010 and the “Trail of Comprehensive Reformation in Specialty” in 2013, etc.
With over 1200 students and 44 academic staffs, the School offers program at levels ranging from Higher Diploma to PhD. It provides 4 undergraduate majors: Tourism management, Hotel management, Marketing and Music performance(students majoring service aboard airliner); 3 postgraduate majors and 1 PhD program, which has trained a large quantity of talents who promoted the development of tourism, especially in Henan Province.
Based on the unique advantages that Zhengzhou University boasts, like the Scenic Area Planning and Design Center in ZZU, the China and South Korea Tourism Planning Center and so on, the school has achieved great improvement in its scientific research level. It has also established cooperative relationship with local tourism authority and famous enterprises, including the famous AAAAA scenic spots Yuntai Mountain and national major airlines
