Materials Science and Engineering
School of Materials Science and Engineering is one of the key construction schools in Zhengzhou University. It has 152 fulltime academic staffs of which 52 are professors, 48 associate professors and 95 faculty members with doctoral degrees. All the faculties carry with them abundant academic and professional experiences.
It now offers 3 undergraduate programs in the fields of Material Science and Engineering, Materials Chemistry, and Packaging Engineering. Of the 3 programs, Material Science and Engineering is national featured disciplines. And the school has a Material Science and Engineering Experiment Teaching Center.
It is entitled to confer doctorate degrees and master degrees, with a Material Science and Engineering postdoctoral mobile research station attached to it. Under the classification of a first-level discipline of Material Science and Engineering, there are 6 master’s programs, which are Polymeric Chemistry and Physics, Materialogy, Materials Processing Engineering, Packaging Materials and Engineering, Leather Chemistry and Engineering and Materials Engineering. Under the classification of a first-level discipline of Material Science and Engineering, there are 4 doctorate programs, which are Polymeric Chemistry and Physics, Materials Physics and Chemistry, Materialogy and Materials Processing Engineering.
School of Materials Science and Engineering focus on create an actively academic atmosphere and now it has 1 national research center and 8 provincial laboratories.
