Physical Education
Based on the Department of Physical Education, the School of Physical Education (Main Campus) formed in 2015. The school now has 111 staffs including 90 full-time teachers and 21 teaching assistants. Among teaching staffs, there are 10 professors, 44 associated professors and 38 lecturers and teaching assistants. The school now has 28 master’s supervisor and 12 doctors.
The School of Physical Education (Main Campus) currently offer 2 undergraduate programmes with the following specializations: Physical Education and Social Sports; 5 master’s degree programmes including Physical Education and Training, Sports Humanistic Sociology, National Traditional Sports, Sports Human Science and a professional master degree; and one doctor program of Physical Education Management Science. The school also offers on-job postgraduate education and adult training. With its development, Science of Physical Culture and Sports in the School of Physical Education (Main Campus) has been authorized as provincial key discipline. In the year of 2014, the school established several study centers to offer teachers and students a sound academic environment and have achieved great improvement in researches and competitions. In 2015, teams in the School of Physical Education has achieved 20 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 16 bronze medals above provincial competitions; 2 gold metals, 3 silver metals and 6 bronze medals in national competition; 18 gold metals, 10 silver metals and 10 bronze medals at provincial competitions.
The School of Physical Education (Main Campus) now has sufficient stadiums, gymnasiums and swimming pools. Both indoor and outdoor buildings cover about 300 thousand square meters which includes 5 comprehensive stadiums, 8 outdoor tracks, 5 swimming pools, 48 basketball courts, 23 volleyball courts, 19 tennis courts, 3 korf courts, 142 table tennis tables and 32 badminton courts. The special courts for sporting events basically can meet students’ exercising requirement. All the equipments and facilities offer the students massy material insurance. Students can do exercise whenever they like at near professional courts.
