1.About Zhengzhou University

As a national key university of World First-class University project, it is funded by the Henan Provincial Government and Ministry of Education (MOE), Zhengzhou University was founded through the merger of three universities: former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical University. It is authorized by the Ministry of Education of China to receive the Chinese Government Scholarship. The University locates in the historic city, Zhengzhou, where is the cradle of Shaolin Kung Fu. Zhengzhou University comprises four major campuses: New Campus, South Campus, College of Technology Campus and College of Medicine Campus occupying an area of 1070 acres. Zhengzhou University entered the ranks of the National World - Class Universities. With full facility of four campuses, Zhengzhou University has at present 47,000 full-time undergraduates, 24,000 postgraduates and more than 2,700 international students. With the rapid development in recent years, ZZU performs well in various international university rankings. According to the essential science indicator, 19 disciplines of ZZU ranked the top 1%, 5 disciplines including Chemistry, clinical medicine, engineering ranked the top 1‰ in the ESI index ranking. The following is the ranking of Zhengzhou University:

4.Tuition Fee & Scholarship

1). MBBS/BDS/Anesthesiology/Medical Imaging. The tuition 35000RMB per year. There is no scholarship for these programs.

2). The tuition fee of Pharmacy/ Civil Engineering/ Software Engineering/ Architecture/ Urban & Rural Planning is 25000RMB per year; the tuition fee of International Trade/ Tourism Management is 23000RMB per year.

Henan Government Scholarship is available for applicants of these programs. Applicant are welcome to apply for this scholarship.

For Architecture, Urban & Rural Planning, Civil Engineering and Tourism Management program, top 20 of each program, scholarship will cover all the tuition. For rest successful applicants, scholarship will cover major part of the tuition, they only pay tuition of 5,000 or 10,000 RMB per year.

For applicants of Pharmacy, International Trade & Economics and Software Engineering program, Henan Government Scholarships are also offered. It will cover major part of tuition for all successful applicants. Students only pay tuition of 5,000 RMB or 10,000 RMB per year.

5.School Time

The bachelor program starts in September every year.

6.Application Qualification

A Non-Chinese citizen, of the age between 18 and 24, with an educational background equal to high school graduation (or equivalent) or with the Bachelor of Science Degree, be healthy, with non-criminal record, from the English-spoken countries or IELTS score reaches 6.0, or TOEFL score reaches 82 (Other training certificate is not acceptable ), with each required subject of CSCA test should score over 50.

Applicants who can not satisfy with these requirements, should choose our foundation programs. Medical foundation program(for MBBS, BDS, Pharmacy) is one-year program starts in September. The Science & Engineering foundation and Business & Management foundation program are one-semester program, which start in March.

Note: Applicants score must reach 70% or more of subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Zoology and botany).

7.When to Apply

The application time for Bachelor Program is from January to June every year. Threre are two rounds selection.
Pre-degree program of all EMI bachelor programs are offered in Zhengzhou University. Application time is from November to January.

Applicants are welcome to apply for the foundation program as the bridge to bachelor programs. The result of exams in foundation program are of vital importance to selection of bachelor program and the scholarship. Majority seats will be reserved for these foundation programs.

8.Application Documents

A. Application Form for Foreign Students of Zhengzhou University (Degree Students)
B. Photocopy of your valid passport.
C. High School diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree or the notarized copy, if you are graduates of the year, you may provide us the pre-graduation certification in Chinese or English.
D. Complete transcript of your high school or undergraduate (original) or the notarized copy.
E. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (original) or the notarized copy.
F. Non-criminal record (original) or the notarized copy.
F. CSCA tests report.
G. Language proficiency document, such as IELTS, TOEFL, DUOLINGO report

Note: ①When you apply, you can provide the notarized copies/photocopies of these documents. ②No matter you are admitted or not, these documents will not be returned.
