Program Objectives

The program is specifically designed for those oversea students who study Chinese as a second language. It not only provides students with a systematical training in Chinese language theories and skills, but also highlights the knowledge regarding Chinese culture, Chinese literature, Chinese history, and Chinese philosophy etc. Equipped with a comprehensive knowledge in Chinese language and culture, students are supposed to be competent for teaching Chinese to the speakers of other languages, as well as conducting Sino-foreign cultural exchanges and cooperation.

Main Courses

Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Listening, Chinese Reading, Oral Chinese Practice, Chinese Writing, Martial arts/Shaolin Kungfu, Chinese Culture, Brief Introduction to China, Chinese Information Processing, Business Chinese, Chinese Grammar, Chinese Idiom, Chinese Newspaper Reading, Ancient Chinese, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Customs, Chinese History, HSK Lectures, Dissertation Writing etc.

Degree Awarding

Students are required to complete the curriculum, fulfill the designated number of credits, complete the bachelor’s thesis and pass the dissertation defense. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the bachelor’s degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee.

Students, who are not qualified to graduate, will receive a certificate of completing the courses. Students, who drop out the program, will receive a study certificate.

Fees

Tuition: 18,000 RMB per year；Application fee: 800RMB。

Scholarship

Excellent applicants can apply for Henan government scholarship, which sponsor 15000RMB/year to cover major part of tuition.

Application Requirement

Applicants must be healthy non-Chinese citizens, without any criminal record, high school graduate, with valid passport, aged less than 25. Applicant’s Chinese language should be above HSK 4, >210.
