Topic selection report must be finished before the 4th term, state research status of this topic at home and abroad, issues to be solved, main theories to be adopted, and related methods, data, technological means, experimental condition, schedule, and expected results for the discussion and audition of expert group and supervisors. In one word, dissertation should be theoretically or practically useful. In dissertation, concepts should be accurate, inference precise, content understandable, data reliable, and structure integrated. Original experimental data should be checked and signed by supervisors and then filed. Before dissertation defense, proposal report and pre-defense should be conducted.
4. Before dissertation defense, phased achievements must be gained, at least 1 research academic paper concerning this dissertation must be published on core journals withZhengzhouUniversityas the first author’s unit, 2 papers are needed for graduating in advance. B. Credit Requirement
The program duration of postgraduate is normally 3 years. 34 credits must be obtained. Outstanding postgraduates are able to apply for defense in advance when they have obtained stipulated credits. According to the cultivation principle of paying equal importance both to course study and degree dissertation, scientific research and dissertation writing must last more than one and a half years.
C. Training Mode and Method
1.In this program, the training mode is adopted where systemic theory study combines with scientific research and teaching practice to enable postgraduates to master basic theory and professional knowledge, as well as basic approaches and skills in scientific research and teaching. In terms of supervising method, supervisor-responsible system and collective cultivation of teaching and research office are adopted. Postgraduates must learn well courses stipulated in training plan, and pass examinations, those with eligible scores will obtain corresponding credits.
2. To enhance postgraduates’ teaching ability, they should teach undergraduates in the last 3 terms, including giving trail lecture, guiding experiments or practice to advance their understanding ability and practical ability, enable them to link theory with practice. Scientific research and dissertation writing are important parts in cultivating postgraduates to master basic methods and conduct scientific research independently. Postgraduates, under the guidance of supervisors, should conduct necessary experiments, investigation and research, determine dissertation topics, draw up plan, and conduct dissertation research in phases.
